What is Gamma Fodder?

A derogatory term applied to a low ranking individual working in the nuclear industry, often implying that the individual is expendable. Similar to “REM fodder” and “bio-shielding”.
"He's not important, he's just gamma fodder."

A large number of workers employed for work in ionizing radiation, because they will be burned out.
We'll need a lot of gamma fodder to clean up that radioactive spill.
