What is Gastown?

An area of downtown Vancouver, BC. It borders on the impoverished East Side but isn't quite as run-down (though it has some of the seediness). A hub of culture and nightlife in the city, it is home to bars, clubs, restaurants and smoke shops. While not quite as polished and family-friendly as other areas of town, Gastown has a charm that sets it apart from the rest of the downtown scene.
Let's head over to Gastown for some drinks.

A part of vancouver, BC, home to many homeless people, and it is quite scary. Many shelters for homeless dudes are located there. The police station and the very FREAKY police museum.I think it's scary! Similiar to surrey, but it's worse!
Billy: Dude wanna go to the gastown, the east end of vancouver?
Riley: Naw, that place is freaky, too much crime.
