Gore seen in a film for the sake of being gore; gore being gore without a purpose.
Gay gore is common in film like Peter Jackson's Braindead, a satirical horror/comedy flick with large quantities of gore; the story itself, however, isn't scary, so the corresponding gore has no meaning.
