What is Ghetto Hope?

The idea that one day poor people from the ghetto will rise above and realize their financial dreams by some miracle. This usually involves them sitting on their ass and getting lucky by winning the lotto or some other type of bet. Ignorance and lack of responsibility are key traits that these people must have.
The hope that ghetto ass people exhibit on game shows such as Deal or No Deal when they are offered nearly $200,000 and have a one in five chance of winning more money or potentially losing it all. Ghetto hope is when these people turn down the $200,000 offered for that long shot chance of winning more. Ghetto hope can also be exhibited by women when they have multiple children in hopes of one of them one day playing professional sports.
