A malicous act performed by one member of a handshake in which the "ghoster" draws his thumb into his palm immediately preceeding commencment of the handshake thereby causing the "non-ghoster" to slide his hand up the "ghoster's" arm in obvious embarassement.
The act is usually performed on high ranking officials such as the principal at a graduation.
