"gnar"- in this case means a ugly, think gnarled and the "goyle" is a reference to gargoyle
This makes up the term gnargoyle: meaning an ugly or really drunk weird face making chick. A group of them are referred to gnargoyles.....
The word has changed on some occasions to be gnargirl as ugly guys have been called "gnargoyle" on occasion.
{looking at a chick) She's a gnargoyle!,(seeing an ugly guy) He's a gnargoyle!, or she's nargly, and when we get lazy we just say !naarr! in a surfer/pirate sounding voice. Its better to use the latter when the chick and her friends are in close proximity...funnier as sometimes they try to emulate it, also there is less chance of getting slapped...
