Acronym. Stands for "Good Ol' Fashioned Reboot." Can be used by IT Professionals to mockingly describe the menial task of rebooting a PC to fix it in front of non-IT while still sounding professional (see
IT Manager: So, what was the problem with his PC? Was it a PEBKAC error?
IT Staff: Not this time. The PC just needed a GOFR.
