Goldberg Effect

What is Goldberg Effect?

1.

A chain reaction intentionally rigged to accomplish a task; inspired by Rube Goldberg (1883-1970)

My coffee maker doesn't have a timer, so I use the Goldberg Effect starting with the alarm clock ringing in my room, then BING! BOOM! BAM! The last rig flips the switch on my coffee maker.
