What is Goo Wak Jai?

Literally used to describe a member of the triads, but can also mean an asian gangster.
"Some goo wak jai jacked my car."
2.
Cantonese for a wiseguy or a smartass, but in modern context it means someone who's a triad member. In English however it's used in a derogatory way for someone that thinks they're tough and cool, when they're really not.
Oh, look it's Mike, the goo wak jai.
