Originated during a Street Fighter tournament at E3 when Kevin, the Capcom hype-builder and shirt-thrower, asked a participant what company he worked for. The attendee replied that he was a grocery store bagger.
Often used to derogatively refer to unwashed slobs in dirty t-shirts roaming the exhibit halls.
"Damn, I wanted to get a shirt at the Namco booth, but there were about a hundred grocery store baggers mobbing the place for freebies"
