What is Gronay?

1.

A derogatory expression for black people used by non-blacks derived from a loose interpretation of negro read backwards.

Initially popularized by the native-Spanish speakers at Chili's Bar and Grill at the Beacon Center in Miami, Florida, circa 1996-1998.

I would recommend locking your car doors when traveling through Overtown - there is an abundance of Gronays here.
