A person who enjoys being grumpy and thus finds ways of staying grumpy. Perfectly encapsulated by people who are always putting others down and shooting down attempts at happiness.
Me: Hey Dad, I just bought us two tickets to go to the Bahamas during Christmas!
Dad: I hate islands. Vacations are never fun. How much did you pay for those tickets? You must be an idiot to pay that much! etc.
Me: Man, what a grumpophile.
