"GTMQ" is an acronym for the saying, "giggle to myself quietly". It is similar in terms of use as "LOL", "ROFL", and "LMAO", and in some cases may be used in place of these acronyms.

Upon receiving a comical text message one may respond with "GTMQ" rather than "LOL", especially if the recipient does not actually "laugh out loud".
