What is Haft?

a story or comment that has no point. the story is told with great enthusiasm. the listener waits expectantly to hear the punch line or moral of the story. when it arrives they are left feeling disappointed and deflated that they just wasted 20 minutes listening to a pointless story that is only amusing to the teller.
"I was listening to Stefanie tell me about what happened to her when she was driving home, but it just turned out to be another HAFT."
