What is Hair Falls?

Hair falls are a form of homemade hair extension. They are commonly made from long clusters of string and/or pieces of plastic tied onto plain hair ties. These are then fastened onto short ponytails/pieces of hair, typically worn with one on each side. Gives the illusion that the wearer's hair is much longer than it actually is and allows for frequent colour changes without affecting hairstyle. Worn commonly by the youth 'goth' culture.
Goth: "Check out my new black and red hair falls that I made on the weekend. I like them even better than the blue ones I was wearing last week."
