Downtown is a concrete jungle with little done to preserve it's history, absolutely nothing to do or see and mainly full of unfriendly, ignorant hillbillies...transplanted into an urban environment. High unemployment too. 'Deliverance' in the city.

'Night life' constitutes various bars and clubs full of aforementioned types which is about as much fun as being skinned alive and then lying in a bath of salt water afterwards.

Halifax official motto: 'riches from the sea'.

It should actually be 'effluent from the sea'

A really awful town based in the northwest of England. Known to be the home of such stars as Shirley 'Big Daddy' Crabtree (a popular 80s british wrestler) The town is run by Calderdale Council, which is responsible for the younger people nothing having anything to do, since the council closed The Tramshed/Zoo Bar and (possibly) The Bradley's record store.

Most people want to leave Halifax due to The town is not big on employment, and most teenagers there feel they need to fit into clothing catagory, so the town is heavily populated by chavs and kids trying to seek an indentity. Halifax is currently becoming one of the many towns in england to be populated by Polish.
