Used mainly in the southeast USA, it is used to express surprise, excitement, horror, and disbelief.
"Can you believe that Johnny's parents bought him a new BMW?"
"Hellfar, no!"
"Bubba is having to have triple bypass surgery tomorrow.
"Oh, hellfar!"

A female who looks exceedingly attractive from a distance but is actually so incredibly hideous that as the distance between you lessens and you see her in greater detail, you experience extreme despair and horror to such a degree that you actually believe that you are in Hell.
*Driving down a road in a car*
Passenger 1: "Check her! She looks bum!"
Passenger 2: "Yeah...Drive closer kid."
*Driver increases speed.*
All occupants of vehicle: "EASY...SHE IS A FUCKING HELLFAR!"
