One who, in spite of possessing a large SUV or 4/5 seat sedan, being the only person in the vehicle AND traveling to your destination, simply refuses to pick you up. No matter how much you wave your hands or try to grab their attention by other means, it is all meaningless to them. Often an old bag.
Bob: "Dude I've been hitchhiking for 2 HOURS and still don't have a ride!!!"
Joe: "Don't let it get you down--a lot of these people are hitchdikes."
