Hoang WAS one of the most popular actresses in Vietnam and formerly played the main character of Vietnam's most popular soap.
That changed when a tape featuring her with her boyfriend having sex was leaked onto the internet (FOR THE LAST TIME, if you're reading this, please DON'T make sex tapes...at least not in Asia). Basically, she got fired, the show got cancelled, and her career is ruined, concluded with a tearful apology for disappointing her fans on tv.
Sex tapes apparently propel you to superstardom and fame over here though. But if you're in Vietnam (communist and conservative)...well, good luck.
