Hobi

What is Hobi?

1.

Hobi, or the Republic of Hobi, is a small country on the border of Shangri-Las. Its capital is hobi and its chief export is the bindlestick. The Hobi flag depicts the great hobo god (Grand Head Pipe Charles Noe) and the four sacred gummy bears. The language spoken in Hobi, appropriately named "Hobi," is very simple, as it consists of one word. That word is "Hobi." The word is used to convey the meaning of every word known to man, as speakers of the language can detect even the subtlest change in tone. (Their finely tuned auditory systems can also pick up a train whistle from thousands of miles away.) If someone comes to your front door, wearing patched clothes and begging for food, it is probably either a resident of Hobi (not a hobo; according to John Hodgman, you'll find all of the hoboes have gone either to the stars or to another dimension) or your adolescent child.
