What is Honeyhead Kid?

A honeyhead kid, honey-head kid, or honey head kid, is a child who covers his or her head in honey and then actively seeks out bears (mostly Grizzly bears) to give them a hug. The percentage of Honeyhead Kids increased during the late '60s and early '70s due to the popularity of the CBS TV series "Gentle Ben".

"Hey, bears are friendly! Go up and let him give you a big hug! Put some honey on your face, let him lick it off. Bears love kids with honey on their heads! They love Honeyhead Kids!"
