A belted-out performance of a song (usually in a karaoke or other setting that involves the consumption of alcohol and encourages disinhibition) which causes reactions in others ranging from mild annoyance to painful cringing and ear-covering gestures, to desperate attempts to defenestrate (oneself or the performer), and eventually to murder-suicide.
Did you catch that horrendition of "I Will Always Love You" that Lorelai did on 'Gilmore Girls' last night? It was so painful I had to change the channel AND shoot out my television.
