Horsepower

What is Horsepower?

1.

Horsepower is directly related to torque. With a low torque output, you will have a low horsepower output. Torque will start higher in the low RPM's but will always cross with horsepower at 5252.

Horsepower = (Torque x RPM) / 5252

Check out that car, it has so much horsepower.

No. It has a lot of torque.

See horsepower, torque, dyno, rpm

2.

An imperial unit of power. 1 Hp = 746 W

It would take a car travelling up a 3.2 degree slope with drag coefficient .33 and cross sectional area 2.5m^2 44 Horsepower to go 100km/h. Excluding friction.
