What is Hotpic?

A photo, typically digital that is used as a default image for profiles on Facebook, MySpace and so forth. This image depicts the user in the most attractive state they could possibly wriggle themselves into. They are sometimes blurry, at odd angles to hide double-chins and jelly-rolls, wearing sunglasses to hide their face, or in strange lighting to disguise their poor pigmentation. This picture most often attracts friends who add the user, mistaking them for an attractive boy/girl.
