The sudden double or triple intake of breath, ending with a sigh, after a long or particularly ardent cry. Most common in babies.
"The baby is making such a sad humfah." or "Humfahs are so heart wrenching!" or "That sound is called an humfah." or "Did you hear the humfah?"
