1)An ideology way of looking at an aspect of society, or to a certain extent anything, which makes it seem better than it actually is.
2) An assumption which for whatever reason exists, and is unfair and untested.
Some sociological thinkers would have you believe they exist to help maintain and cover up power inequalities.
1)The education system is completly fair and 100% a meritocracy - this is ideological.
2)Single parent families are bad for society. Same sex couples make bad parents. Ideologys.
