In Trouble

What is In Trouble?

1.

This is now somewhat outdated, but was a term meaning pregnant if the pregnancy is undesired, the woman is young or unmarried, etc. The term was used in what was considered "polite" company in order to avoid using the oh-so-harsh word "pregnant."

"Ward, Wally's girlfriend is . . . well, she's in trouble."

See pregnant, bun in the oven, big, bumped, childing, fecund, fragrant, fraught, full, gone, gravid, heavy, hopeful, knocked up, preggers, Big Steve
