1 : the reliance for one's knowledge of a subject to come from what someone else has read and shared with them.
2 : confinement to a narrow mind or a local or limited field of thought
The marketing department doesn't come up with any ideas that are worthy. Probably because the have fallen victim of inreading and no longer seaking new concepts.
