When you're having a conversation with someone and the insanity falls like rain; Typically, a situation where you are on the receiving end of someone "going off" about issues that you can't do anything about, typically involving an unstable person who had difficulty modulating the level, and octave, of their voice.
Said to a friend, regarding a conversation where someone has just incoherently ranted for a long period of time and in multiple octaves about ideas that had no logical connection:
"Wow I didn't expect to get all insaned on."
