What is Inverted?

The term used in first person shooters where controls for vertical looking are reversed. Example: Pressing up on the control stick looks down and vice versa. Most commonly found in Halo games although only a small percentage actually play inverted.
I dont know see why Jose plays inverted, its just more confusing.
