Jake-talk

What is Jake-talk?

1.

Jake-talk is a term used when one goes into great depth, technically, during a conversation or an argument. It's usual use is to analyze (or, perhaps, over analyze) the other persons point by picking specific points of detail from said persons argument and exploiting those points for their flaws. For the icing on the cake, the jake-talk is usually italicized so that it can stand out, thus proving it's importance in the argument.

Person A: "There is no point in banners."

Jake-talk: " quote"There is no point in banners."/quote "iThere is a point in banners, otherwise they wouldn't exist!/i"
