Jalping is the act of approaching stranger and begging for money/a square/crack/etc. The demand for capital is often accompanied by some bunk story about how they got jumped by ten homies on the North Side, one of their relatives catching the bubonic plague and needing money, or how they need gas to get to the next big town.

"Hey man, let me tell you a story man. My brother and I were delivering cupcakes to the Orphans when we saw a vet clinic on fire so we ran in on down there and saved all the kittens but my brother died and the cupcakes burned man. I was wondering if you could give me $1.25 so I can gets some more cupcakes man."
