What is Jlpt?

Japanese Langauge Profiency Test. A standardised test taken all over the world to evaluate your level of japanese, apart from a degree in japanese this is generally the only test recognised by japanese employers and government. It is held once a year in december in 40 different countries. Its split in 4 levels with level 4 being basic understanding of the langauge to level 1 the highest. The test is to be revised in 2010 and split into 5 levels.
