Jockracy Edit Meaning

United Kingdom derogatory slang referring to the observed fact that although Scotland has a much lower population than England, and its own parliament, when the Labour Party is in power the main cabinet posts are held by Scots, and passing many laws which do not themselves apply in Scotland due to the devolved Scots parliament. Thus England is ruled by Scots; a "jockracy".

Jockracy is often seen as causing "Scottish pork"; when the Scots rulers pass laws favorable to Scotland at the expense of England and Wales.

"I see those gits in the jockracy have increased university fees in England while keeping them free in Scotland again".
