1) The act of taking part in a group, social activity, or movement without understanding the goals/purpose of said organization, usually for attention or sense of belonging. 2) Deviously joining a group, social activity, or movement for purposes other than what is known.
1) Katie, who joined the sorority because all her friends were doing so, is the perfect example of joinism.
2) Joinism made him take the life drawing class; he wasn't good at art like he told his girlfriend, he just wanted to see the naked model.
