Juniata Park

What is Juniata Park?

1.

Better known simply as Juniata, a neighborhood in Lower Northeast Philadelphia (considered by some to be in North Philly), bordered by Frankford, Feltonville, Hunting Park, Harrowgate, Kensington, Northwood, and Port Richmond. The working-class neighborhood suffered a steep decline beginning in the late 1990s/early 2000s, largely due to white flight and Section 8 abuse.

Former Juniata Park resident 1: Man, I'm glad we got out of Juniata when we did. It really went downhill.

Former Juniata Park Resident 2: Yeah, it used to be such a nice neighborhood. Never thought it woulda got that bad.
