Junkie Edit Meaning

A person who is consumed by an addiction. Aspects of their life suffer as he/she satisifies the addiction. See addict

That guy is a total rock junkie. He just can't get enough.

Generally, junkie (in terms of drug abuse) applies to someone addicted to a narcotic-- such as heroin, morphine, opium, codeine, and methadone.

Rush Limbaugh is a junkie.

A derogatory term for a person who abuses drugs excessively.

Jack is such a junkie, he barely even remembers his own name.

A person who is consumed by an addiction. One who would rather buy drugs then take care of responsibilities like rent.

I'm sorry I do not have money for rent because I am broke. (although person has a bag of coke in their pocket)
