What is Karly Coffey?
1.
Karly Coffey is a female character in author Timothy Yen's fantasy-horror novel “The Lucid Nightmare.”
Karly’s origin is a mystery but it is known that she has the power to change between a ferocious, man-eating Yeti-like creature and a scantily clad nymph. Her peculiar obsessive-compulsive tendencies often impede her ability to hunt. For example, her insistence on sanitizing her prey prior to feasting, frequently gives her victims time to escape the death-sentence of her 10 inch fangs.
Despite her vicious proclivities, she is not completely bereft of compassion. She feels a strong kinship to canines and a few humans whom she trusts. These select human are allowed to enter her legendary woodland dwelling, “The Turman Grotto,” without fear of death or mutilation.
Yen claims in his story that her surname, Coffey, comes from a bastardization of either the word “coffee” (relating to the Latin American cash crop) or “coughy” (relating to her susceptibility to infection and disease).
Drunk guy 1: Hey Bob, watch me get with that chick over there.
Drunk guy 2: Be careful, I've heard some strange things about her.
Drunk guy 1 (to Karly): Hey baby, I got a 10 inch surprise for you.
Karly Coffey: Thanks, but I got four...RAWRRRR *crunch* *snap* *gurgle*.
