Riot Grrrl, lead singer of Le Tigreand former lead singer of Bikini Kill in between which she had a solo project as Julie Ruin.

She inspired the name of Nirvana's hit song " Smells Like Teen Spirit" by writing "Kurt smells like teen spirit" on one of Kurt Cobain's walls. He thought it meant "the spirit of teens" and didn't know it was a deodorant. Courtney Love punched her and threw a bag of chips in her face backstage Lollapaloozawhich unintentionally became one of the most defining moment for the riot grrrl movement.
