The generic term was coined in 1975, usually in reference to a girl who is wishy-washy, unable to grasp technical concepts, giggle excessively, find thrills in mundane everyday activities or items, one-can-short-of-a-six-pack, not-the-sharpest-tool-in-the-shed, the-lamp-without-a-bulb.
The term 'KC-girls' can also be used to refer to women who find great fulfillment in fantasy books, fairy tales, retro items or furniture, old novels and knick-knacks from yesteryears.
Traditionally, these women are close-knit and can behave irrationally to outsiders making fun of them. They tend to have limited sense of humor and may lash out violently to people who do not see their ways.
Many speciments also show traits of nymphomania.
