A term used to describe the driving style of someone who enjoys driving slowly, referring to the preferred MPH of the driver. The typical position of someone who's "keeping it 5" is elbow out the window, seat leaning back, and speakers blasting hip-hop. The most essential part involves the driving speed -- the slower, the better. Oftentimes, keeping it 5 will annoy other drivers, but those who truly keep it 5 will not let this affect their style.
Passenger: Hey come on man let's hurry up we gotta get there before the game starts
Driver: Chill we'll get there when we get there...I'm just tryna keep it 5
