What is King Dress?

a hideous type of dress forced upon young girls who have no say in what they wear. some are velvet, some are floral print. most have bows and lace of most ugliness. called a king dress because one is reminded of the 1700's kings who had lace around their collars resembling a king dress.
dakota fanning has worn many a king dress in her day.
