What is Kisekae?

An electronic sort of paper doll that uses code and digital art to produce a dress up-style game. Dolls can range from being quite simple to very complex, including animation, sounds, and various random and click-generated reactions. Some Kisekae sets are styled as toys, puzzles, and board games.
I just downloaded a new kisekae doll to dress up, and was surprised to find out that it was actually a puzzle!
