Any machine or device that is totally useless but sounds important solely based on it's name.
An overly complex and imaginary device that pretends to have the ability to predict weather.
The name, Klystron 9, was stolen from a cheap science fiction novel from the 1950's. In that novel Klystron 9 was a planet in the Holloway Galaxy and was inhabited by the Ruechels.
