A term used to describe a coarse or rude person, especially with respect to highly technical topics. Nick Burns, your company's comuter guy series of skits on Saturday Night Live perfectly describes someone knittel in nature.
That help desk operator was being a complete knittel...he could have at least been polite in helping me fix my computer.
