What is Kooph?

English slang term for a foreigner or an immigrant struggling to fit in with the cultural society surrounding him/her; one going through assimilation

Latin root: ku- to mix or blend

a foreign exchange student would be considered a "kooph" during the first few months of learning and cultural adjustment
