Los Angeles Metropolitan Area: the better term for when someone claims they don't actually live in "LA."
This is similar to "SoCal" but more precise for the uniform expanse of suburbia that is indistinguishable from LA.
"Oh, so you live in LA?"
"No, I live in Orange County. It's not the same."
