What is Laurelhurst?

An uppermiddle class neighborhood in Seattle. Consists mainly of white families, but most people in the neighborhood wish there was more diversity. Features 2 schools (a public one, laurelhurst elementary, and a private one, Villa Academy). There are also three churches, a beach club, and a very nice park. Also within walking distance to the University of Washington campus.
If you live in laurelhurst, you can go and get a tan at the beach club, and then get some money babysitting at the park, considering the large number of young children, who most likely attend one of the schools.
