What is Lawrence's Law?

A Corollary to Murphy's Law indicating that Captain Murphy had an optimistic outlook on life when he derived his famous law.

Murphy's Law states that anything which can go wrong, will go wrong.

Lawrence's Law states that everything will find a way to go wrong.

First proposed in 1990 at Argonne National Laboratory after the unexpected failure of a particle accelerator

Not only did we have a missle failure due to the fuel cut-off override, which was predicted with a 5% probability of occuring, The payload also struck a goose, which had a 0% probability of occurring, an example of Lawrence's Law at work.
