A small, dwarf-like creature with the abilty to repair electronic equipment with only a small screwdriver. Thought to be a close descendant of Hobbits, they are frequently found in small enclosed areas. They tend to be quite shy creatures and many are believed to be nocturnal. They also become very possessive of any device they find and will spend many hours trying to unlock whatever secrets lie within. Legend has it that Laycocki (plural) have a sense of humour but most examples known to science have found this to be untrue.
Distinguishing features of the Laycocki are very short but neat body hair, sometimes displaying an elogated snout, and a restless nature. Laycocki are not normally agressive, however, some examples have been known to bite when threatened or their terretory is endangered.
Laycocki often inhabit IT departments in both business and schools.
